As part of my commitment to sharing real numbers, I want to wrap up 2024 by unveiling some of the most interesting metrics about this blog. Unlike the agency’s financial figures, which I plan to share monthly, blog metrics are more of a curiosity than a practical insight into the OFM world. For that reason, I’ll only publish these metrics once a year.
When I transitioned from the Black Hat World thread to this dedicated blog, I never imagined it would attract readers. Honestly, I expected zero traffic—maybe one or two lost souls stumbling across a technical post every now and then. I started with zero expectations, but the numbers have genuinely surprised me.
Now, let me be clear: these aren’t groundbreaking figures for a professional blog. However, considering this is a hyper-niche blog aimed exclusively at OFM managers—not a broad-topic blog like recipes or travel—the stats have exceeded my expectations in the best way possible.
Here are some of the highlights and surprises from this year:
1. Unexpected Traffic from Japan
One of the biggest surprises has been the steady influx of readers from Japan. Just today, I received a message from a Japanese reader with a business proposal I’m seriously considering for the future. Japan wasn’t even on my radar for OFM opportunities, but it might turn out to be an untapped market worth exploring.
2. Traffic from AI Platforms
Another shocker was seeing traffic coming from AI platforms like ChatGPT and Perplexity. It’s a clear sign that the dominance of Google as the go-to search engine is starting to wane. The AI era is here, and it’s fascinating to see how people are discovering content through new, innovative channels.
3. The Lack of Shares on Social Media
Interestingly, I noticed zero traffic from platforms like Reddit, Facebook, or traditional forums. It appears that people aren’t sharing the articles publicly on these platforms. That said, I’ve received private comments from readers who discovered the blog through personal recommendations, likely shared via private messages.
4. Regular Readers and Returning Visitors
One of the most rewarding insights is the number of readers who not only discover the blog but also return regularly to check for updates. This level of engagement tells me that the content resonates, and it fuels my motivation to keep improving and sharing.
5. Growth in the Telegram Community
Every day, more people join the blog’s Telegram group, often sending private messages to introduce themselves or share their thoughts. This sense of community is something I didn’t anticipate but deeply appreciate.
To all of you who’ve taken the time to read, engage, and even spread the word about this blog—thank you. Watching the metrics grow has been incredibly motivating.
