Today, I want to take a moment to share how I’m tracking traffic on my website. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m using WordPress. I aimed to build this site as quickly and as lightweight as possible. One key requirement for keeping it fast was to minimize the number of plugins.
While searching for a solution to track metrics without having to install the full Google Analytics package (with its overwhelming range of options), I came across a simple, lightweight plugin. It’s powerful enough to measure what I need, free enough that I don’t have to pay for any upgrades, and light enough not to slow down the site. The plugin is called “Matomo Analytics – Ethical Stats. Powerful Insights” It even offers a fantastic real-time view section, showing visitor profiles, their journey through the site, and much more. And the best part? It’s completely free, with no upgrades needed, and has a super easy installation process. I’ve included a few screenshots for you to get a better look at it.
This way, I can monitor what’s happening with the scouting campaign in real time. A true success!
I’m now focusing on tracking how much time models spend reading the sales letter. This helps me understand whether I’m asking too much from them or not.
