Today is Tuesday, 10/29, and we’re back to square one with the scouting process.
I can’t remember who told me that finding models was “the easiest part of the business.” After all the effort it took to secure two somewhat decent models to move forward, and after giving them a week to post reels as a commitment test, both of them ended up dropping out. The first one simply ghosted me, which, given her behavior during the selection process, didn’t really surprise me. The second, who had been very professional throughout, just sent me a heartfelt email saying she appreciated everything, enjoyed the process, but due to personal reasons, she decided not to continue. Truth or lies? We’ll never know.
Since my interviews with the finalists, quite some time has passed, during which I’ve been wrapping up various loose ends (e.g., finishing the knowledge base, drafting the contract, building this blog, studying Reddit as a method, etc.). Last Saturday, anticipating that neither of the two models would follow through, I decided to resume the scouting process—only to make the mistake of posting an overly spicy story on Instagram. It was so spicy, in fact, that IG decided to SHUT DOWN MY ACCOUNT! Just like that. In the past, Instagram would at least give me a warning like, “The post you’re trying to boost may violate our guidelines. We recommend deleting it to avoid issues.” Confident in that pattern, I went ahead and posted something racy, planning to dial it back later. But it backfired. On the first post, Zuckerberg’s police woke up, and after just one warning, they shut down the account (with the option to appeal, but we all know how that goes).
After stewing in frustration all Saturday and Sunday, thinking that the IG ban would also blacklist my phone, associated accounts, and payment method, I decided to try again on Monday with another aged IG account I had from Fanzella’s bot system. It was a 2017 account that had been active in Ukraine and now mysteriously found activity in the South American country where I’m based. Maybe Instagram would assume the person fled the war and started a new life in the prosperous lands of South America. Anyway, I added the account to my phone, linked my payment method, and… nothing happened. It accepted everything without issue. I created a new ad (this time nothing spicy) and sent it for review, and it was approved. So… I’m back to recruiting models.
For a change, and to learn something new, I’m now targeting Mexico. After one day of running the ad, I already have a potential candidate who, even though she hasn’t done OnlyFans before, has all the makings of a success. And by that, I mean a good pair of boobs, a petite figure, and lots of attitude. I’ve sent her all the recruitment materials—let’s see what she says.
Beyond this candidate, in just over 24 hours and for only $10, I’ve had 2,579 impressions, 44 profile visits, and 15 conversations.
P.S.: A tip when running Instagram ads for recruitment—avoid mentioning words like: OnlyFans, adult, webcam. I believe that’s what got me banned, since the photo I used was the same one from my previous campaign.
